Bring Me A Book Hong Kong (BMABHK) concluded its Library Donation Programme with the 545th and final
library donation to St James’ Settlement. This landmark contribution of almost 3,000 books marks a significant
achievement, totaling a donation of 71,000 children’s picture books to over 200,000 children across Hong
Kong since 2006.
Since the organization’s founding almost two decades ago, BMABHK has promoted family literacy through its
signature Library Donation and First Teachers’ Training Programme. Over the years, BMABHK’s pioneering
work has led to the growth of a vibrant community to nurture parent-child reading in Hong Kong.
Beginning in 2026, BMABHK will dedicate its focus on Chinese children’s picture books through the Feng Zikai
Chinese Children’s Picture Book Award (the Award). Established in 2008 by BMABHK, the Award has been
promoting the appreciation of Chinese children’s picture books around the world.
BMABHK extends its heartfelt appreciation to all donors, partners, beneficiaries, and volunteers who have
stood alongside the charity throughout the years. BMABHK will host a READCONNECT Community Day on
Saturday 7 March 2026, marking completion of its current work.
The READCONNECT Community Day will honor the charity’s enduring legacy of fostering stronger family and
community connections through the love of reading. More details of the READCONNECT Community Day will
be announced in the first quarter of 2026.
