For his birthday, Tim wishes more than anything a skateboard and knows that his family cannot afford it. He decides to work for himself gathering cans for cash at the redemption center. When Tim finds out his efforts thwart a homeless man’s efforts and the can collector’s wish to purchase a new coat for him, he has a change of heart. A surprise ending celebrates how we can think beyond ourselves to make a difference in another’s life.
