2018年4月25日：Professor Stephen D Krashen – What’s new in literacy research? Mostly good news

This presentation is (nearly) all good news: Research confirms that there are inexpensive and pleasant ways of making sure young people reach the highest levels of literacy and increase their overall knowledge. No grim determination is necessary, I will also share some exciting trends in library design, simple and painless ways of increasing bilingualism, and my cautious enthusiasm about e-books.

Professor Stephen D Krashen is Professor emeritus at the University of Southern California. Dr. Krashen is a very famous linguist and educational researcher. He has published more than 480 papers and books, contributing to the fields of second-language acquisition, bilingual education, and reading. He is credited with introducing various influential concepts and terms in the study of Second Language Acquisition, including the Acquisition-Learning Hypothesis, the Input Hypothesis, the Monitor Hypothesis, the Affective Filter, and the Natural Order Hypothesis. Most recently, Dr. Krashen promotes the use of Free Voluntary Reading during second-language acquisition.
