Children can enjoy a variety of fun “Math & Magic Activity Stations” – all run and managed by our fabulous student volunteers. Lots of games, magic tricks and prizes to be enjoyed by the whole family while supporting a worthy cause.

The author of over 50 children’s books with math or science themes, David Schwartz is also a speaker known by teachers throughout the United States for his unique way of linking literature with mathematical inquiry and tying both to science. His first book, How Much is a Million? (1985) has won numerous awards and is credited with helping to launch the practice of using children’s literature to teach mathematics in the classroom. More recent titles inspire a sense of wonder in children by addressing difficult subjects in enjoyable ways.
An engaging and energetic presenter to both children and educators, David speaks at about 50 schools and 10 education conferences each year. He leaves audiences informed, inspired, and often laughing.
