Feng Zikai (1898 – 1975) was an educationist, man of letters and artist who excelled in painting, Chinese calligraphy, music and architecture. Mr. Feng created cartoons using a style that was a hybrid of Chinese and Western techniques, with subject matters drawn from everyday life. This exhibition will be presented under two themes, “Creating a World of Compassion” and “Cultivating Life and Soul”, to help raise awareness and understanding of the work, life and spirit of renowned Chinese artist Feng Zikai. A passionate advocate for children’s welfare, Mr. Feng’s legacy has been able to continue through the illustrious picture book award named after him, established in 2008 by Bring Me a Book
