To celebrate World Read Aloud Day (7th March 2012), we installed our 149th library at a Child Care Centre in Sham Shui Po to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the power of reading aloud. Indeed, there are 774 million
people worldwide who can’t read or write. We really want to give a big thanks to the French International School who kindly donated a library, giving children access to quality books in the local community.
A special thanks to Rebecca Smith (parent) and Chris Chadwick (Head of FIS International Primary Section) for their enjoyable storytelling session to spread the love of reading. You can see for yourselves how much they enjoyed it!
Read a book to your child tonight and let them know its World Read Aloud Day all over the globe!
